Singer and performance artist Jade Esteban Estrada, a San Antonio native,

recently received the title of Kentucky Colonel from Kentucky Gov. Ernie Fletcher.

     The award acknowledges outstanding goodwill ambassadors around the world. Yes, the same type of colonel as Harland Sanders of KFC fame.

     Although he has worked as a performer and choreographer for years, he has most recently been on a solo tour with his productions of "ICONS: The Lesbian and Gay History of the World, Vol. 1 through 3."
