Jade
Esteban Estrada,
who may be best known for his solo shows "Tortilla Heaven"
and the
three-volume "ICONS:
The Lesbian and Gay History of the World," is scheduled
to give his "Reel Deal" acting workshop at 10:00 a.m. February 20,
2010 at PrimaDonna Productions at 8603 Crownhill Blvd.
The
cost of the day-long class, which covers such acting skills as
character development and on-camera technique as well as business
skills, is $100, which includes lunch. There are a couple of
discounts, though. Students who have worked with
Estrada
in the past will get $10 knocked off the price. And those who
register by January 20 will pay $85.
A
portion of the proceeds will go the Texas Motion Picture Alliance,
which advocates for him production in the state.
