Pretty Boy Rock is the boylesque persona of actor/singer/dancer Jade Esteban Estrada as seen on Comedy Central and Bravo TV.
A graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, Rock began his training in burlesque performance under such notable performers as Coco Lectric, Ray Gunn, Bazuka Joe, Tifa Tittlywinks, Sgt Die Wies, Jasper St. James, Perle Noire, Midnight Martini and Tana the Tattooed Lady.
He has been a guest performer with Monday Night Tease! (Hollywood), The Scarlet Darlings (San Antonio), Womanopoly Burlesque (San Francisco), Steel City Kitty Variety Show (Pittsburgh), The Ruby Revue (Houston), Austin After Dark (Austin), After Dark Burlesque Revue (Corpus Christi). BurlEscapades (Phoenix) and Black Cherry Burlesque (Tucson).
He competed in the 2013 Burlympics in Los Angeles and hosted the 1st Annual Latin Burlesque Festival, 2014 Dallas Burlesque Festival, the 2014 Houston Burlesque Festival and the 2015 Hollywood Burlesque Festival. His boylesque Napoleon number has been an official selection at The New Zealand Burlesque Festival, 2015 ABurlyQ! Burlesque & Sideshow Spectacular (WINNER - Best Boylesque), the 1st Annual Polish Burlesque Festival, the 2015 Windy City Burlesque Festival, the 2014 San Antonio Burlesque Festival, The Oregon Burlesque Festival, The Amsterdam Burlesque Festival in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Alterna-TEASE 2014, New England's Neo-Burlesque Festival (WINNER - 2014 Beautiful Weirdo Award), The Fierce! International Queer Burlesque Festival, and his stand-up comedy was featured at the 2014 Ohio Burlesque Festival and The Florida Burlesque Festival ("Pretty Boy Rock had us crying with laughter after his comedy routine while he made fun of almost every type of person possible -- no one was safe from his jokes!" - Broward-Palm Beach New Times).
Rock was an international guest in The Late Night Gala Variety Show, Slapdash Song Night! (NOMINATION - Fringe World Cabaret Award), Live! Nerds! Nerds! Nerds! and direct from London, the Blues and Burlesque Happy Hour (NOMINATION - Fringe World Cabaret Award) at the 2015 Fringe World Festival in Perth, Australia. He was selected to perform at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Blues and Burlesque: What the Funk, Smut Slam Cabaret) in Scotland.
Rock was also invited to be a guest panelist for Teasing Talkies, a showcase of the most influencial burlesque films and documentaries at the 2015 Perth Fringe World Festival.
He was crowned Big Boylesquer 2014 at Michigan's 2nd Annual Spring Fling Burlesque Festival in Detroit, Michigan and 2015 King of the Great Southern Exposure at the Great Southern Exposure Burlesque and Variety Pageant in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Rock performs weekly the Prohibition Supperclub in Houston, Texas as a member of the Moonlight Dolls Burlesque Revue and currently teaches acting and dance at the Austin Academy of Burlesque.
